Clemson Career Workshop

A summer program designed to support college readiness of high-achieving students from diverse populations and to get an inside look into Clemson University.

Camp Dates: June 23-29, 2019

Application Deadline: April 15, 2019

Application is only open to rising high school seniors.

Current freshmen and sophomores interested in making a difference in your school and community through leadership are invited to apply for The Pinckney 4-H Leadership Conference this summer to be held at Clemson University.  The cost is ONLY $100 and two sessions are available to choose from June 16-22 and July 21-27.  Applications may be picked up in the guidance office and are due March 15, 2019.

The University of South Carolina will be among more than 90 institutions represented at the National Association for College Admissions Counseling's Upstate South Carolina National College Fair on March 16, 2019. The fair will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Timmons Arena at Furman University, located at 3300 Poinsett Highway in Greenville, SC. Blue Ridge Electric Co-Op is sponsoring the 2019 Washington Youth Tour.  All expenses are paid for the participants including the flight to and from DC.  Students will have the opportunity to meet their national legislators, tour historic sites and meet other students their age from across the United States.  SAT scores, class rank,  and GPA are NOT considered when selecting winners.

Clemson’s Challenge for Academically Talented Students (C-CATS) recruits top 9th and 10th grade students from SC, NC and GA to participate in high-powered weekend retreats. Through team-building and academic sessions, students gain leadership skills, make lasting friendships, and improve their ability to think clearly and perform under pressure, all while having the time of their lives!  If you would like to be nominated for one of these retreat weekends which will be in March and April 2019, let your counselor know!!

Juniors, if you are interested in participating in Junior Leadership Pickens County, applications are now available!  Accepted students will develop leadership skills, meet with community leaders, and build their college resumes.  Interested juniors should see a counselor for more information and to receive a Student Information Packet by Friday, Oct 26.

The purpose of STI is to create awareness and expose high school students to career opportunities in the transportation industry.  The program is a four week residential program scheduled for June 4-June 29, 2017.

The application deadline is April 30, 2017.
