The Elks National Foundation (ENF) Legacy Awards – The Legacy Awards program begins on September 1, 2019.  Legacy Awards provide $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elk members. The ENF offers a total of 300 national awards.  The Legacy Awards application is entirely online. The application deadline is January 31, 2020 at 11:59 a.m., Central Time. Most Valuable Student (MVS) Contest: 
The 2020 MVS application is now open. Applications can be found online at www.enf.elks.org/MVS.  The application deadline is November 5, 2019.   

The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards 500 four-year scholarships based on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year. The national awards are announced in April 2020. Pendleton Elks Lodge 2861 offers two scholarships each year. 

 MVS scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), at a U.S. college or university. 
Eligible applicants include: ★ Current high school seniors (or equivalent) who are citizens of the United States. ★ Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks, nor do they have to have an affiliation with Pendleton Elks Lodge 2861. ★ Male and female students compete separately.
Applicants select from a list of the Lodges closest to their home address zip code. We hope your students choose Pendleton Elks Lodge 2861 as their sponsoring Lodge. Complete details can be found at www.enf.elks.org/MVS.

Be enrolled in or planning to attend full time an accredited college or university located in South Carolina

The South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation offers scholarship aid to deserving students who meet certain academic criteria.


Applicants must:

Be seniors in a SC High School or undergraduates in a SC college or university.

Have a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0.

Be residents of SC.

Have a competitive or recreational interest in golf.

Attend an accredited public or private, four year college or university in SC in the fall of 2020.

Any senior who is a legal resident of South Carolina planning to major in Education in college as a freshman in the fall of 2020, may apply for the the South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program. Fellowships are based on academic achievement, references, community and school involvement, an interview and a writing assessment. Students must attend one of the eleven Teaching Fellows Institutions. Currently, these include Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, Francis Marion University, Lander University, USC Aiken, USC Columbia, USC Upstate, and Winthrop University.  The application is available on the CERRA web site at https://www.cerra.org/teaching-fellows-application.html. Deadline is December 1, 2019.

The SCAEOP Marian Garrett Student Scholarship 

This $1,500 scholarship is open to seniors who plan to pursue a degree in the business field, preferably in the educational area.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a graduating senior
  • Must have maintained a "C" average or better in high school and a "B" average in high school business courses
  • Must plan to enter an accredited institution of higher learning in the fall term following the granting of the scholarship
  • Must be a US citizen and a resident of SC

The SCAEOP Member Dependent Scholarship

This $1,500 scholarship is open to dependent children of SCAEOP members who are graduating seniors.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a graduating senior and child or grandchild of an active, retired or life member of SCAEOP
  • Must have maintained a "C" average or better in high school
  • Must plan to enter an accredited institution of higher learning in the fall term following the granting of the scholarship.
  • Must be a US citizen and a resident of SC
