Picturing Pickens: Inspiring the Future

SDPC Celebrates Student Artistry with an Art Contest

1. Theme:
The theme of the contest is “Inspiring the Future of SDPC” through the arts. Teachers are encouraged to create a project based on theme of “Inspiring the Future of SDPC” and incorporate it with the SDPC logo.

2. Eligibility:
The contest is open to all grade levels. A winner from elementary, middle, and high school grade levels will be selected.

3. Submission Guidelines:
Medium: Participants are allowed to use any art medium they prefer, such as drawing, painting, digital art, or mixed media.


Size: The size and format requirements for the artwork submission should be no smaller than 8x10 and no larger than 18x24 inches.


Due Date: All artworks are before December 15th. Works can be delivered to the district office or submitted digitally. If you plan to take drop off physical artworks to the district office, please tape the registration form to the back of each artwork. 4. Judging Criteria:
Factors for criteria include creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, visual appeal, and adaptability for different uses.

5. Prizes and Recognition:
Prizes and recognition will be awarded to the winners and opportunities for the winning artwork(s) to be used in official school materials.

6. Intellectual Property:
SDPC will have ownership rights of the submitted artwork and the school district will have exclusive rights to the winning designs.
