Feed A Hungry Child PC, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing nutritious, ready to eat food to children on the weekends during the school year. We serve students in Pickens County, SC in grades K4-12. Our mission is to help fight child hunger and give every student a fighting chance at educational success.
Our volunteers raise the funds, pick up the food, and deliver the food to participating Pickens County schools. Designated staff will discreetly distribute the Backpacks to your child before leaving school for the weekend. Feed A Hungry Child does not interact with your child or collect names. This is a free and anonymous program. We are partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank, in which we purchase the Backpacks from. The packets may include items such as shelf-stable milk, ravioli, applesauce, fruit cups, cereals, and crackers. If you would like your child/children to participate in this program, please complete the form. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your school FAHC coordinator.
